A Buddhist Monastery in the Heartland of North America
A Worldwide Community of Spiritual Friends
KORINJI is a Buddhist monastery in Wisconsin, USA. Dedicated in 2013 as a Rinzai Zen training center, it serves as the headquarters temple of the international Korinji Rinzai Zen Community.
Korinji is also a non-sectarian temple for the practice of other Japanese Buddhist traditions, and a center for training in contemplative arts.
All are welcome to learn with us regardless of faith or background.
Our Practices
Korinji is a unique training center, carrying multiple lineages of profound
Buddhist teachings and serving as a center for the arts.
Our work: planting these dynamic practices of self-transformation deeply in
the West, and spreading them out to the world.
